Position Title: Electrical & Cable Assembly Technician
Schedule:
First Shift – 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Overview:
The Electrical & Cable Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, modifying, and inspecting electrical and cable components in accordance with engineering and quality standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with hands-on technical skills and a strong commitment to precision and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret technical documentation such as change notices, change orders, and temporary deviations.
- Perform assembly rework and modifications when design or process updates occur.
- Process and record engineering-related documentation, including discrepancy and defect reports.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Follow all established safety and quality protocols.
- Communicate progress or issues to the supervisor or lead technician.
- Perform additional production or assembly duties as assigned.
Supervision:
- This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of two years in electrical or cable assembly. Soldering and crimping experience required. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Training or coursework in electromechanical assembly, wiring, or harness fabrication preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, color codes, blueprints, and bills of materials.
- Skilled with soldering equipment, manual/power tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring instruments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read and follow written instructions in English.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and working in varied positions.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to distinguish colors and work safely on ladders.
