Description Director of Housekeeping
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities - Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures, policies, and schedules to optimize efficiency and quality
- Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, managing procurement and budget adherence
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and address guest requests promptly
- Manage staff performance, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations
- Implement sustainability initiatives and environmentally friendly cleaning practices
- Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Skills And Qualifications - Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality standards
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management certifications are a plus
